I'll Always Remember

Florence E. Stiff

Now you may go forgetting
The one who loves you so,
It seems a thousand years to me
That not too long ago;
You and I sought happiness
And found our cup of joy
For everything we said and did
Was a precious golden toy!

Can you forget the many days
And plans of how we'd meet,
How we drank deep in our thirsty souls
To make our lives complete?
And for awhile our cup was filled
'Twas sweet and seemed so true;
Now you may go forgetting
But I'll always remember you!
